Why MOSO Bamboo

MOSO® Value 1

Sustainability

Ecology is Attainable

We believe MOSO® Bamboo is one of the most promising alternatives in the required shift to a sustainable society. It grows faster than any other plant in the world, yet has hardwood-like properties. These qualities make MOSO® Bamboo the ideal alternative to tropical hardwood.

You may wonder, how sustainable is a product made in China, shipped all the way to the market? MOSO® has put a lot effort in actually proving the ecological soundness of its products. All green claims are backed up by impact studies such as carbon footprint & LCA and eco-labels (BREEAM, LEED, FSC etc.) from independent institutes. Further reduction of our ecological footprint is an on-going process.

MOSO® Value 2

Product Excellence

Quality, Reliability and Resilience

A key precondition for MOSO®’ success is the involvement in the production process from A to Z. Production in ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certified facilities further guarantees compliance with strictest health, safety and environmental regulations.

MOSO International guarantees MOSO Bamboo decking and siding for 25 years.

MOSO® Value 3

Research, Development and Continued Innovation

Viable Sustainable Hardwood Alternative

MOSO® has always focused on innovation. A famous example is the 2,100,000 square foot curved ceiling panel for the Madrid, Adolfo Suarez Airport, until today the largest bamboo project in the world. Designed by Rogers, Stirk Harbour + Partners (2005).
